About our Logo

The three elements of the I AM Books logo are the nautilus shell, the four stars emerging from its center and the emanating I AM.

The chambers of the nautilus shell are symbolic of the stages each individual passes through until enlightenment is complete.

The shell unfolds as its occupant outgrows each chamber, in a series of steps following the Fibonacci sequence. As the shell expands, its shape begins to approximate the Phi spiral, a key element of Sacred Geometry.

The four stars represent the foundation laid by the I AM, as it emanates from the unmanifested realm through the spiral to manifest in our reality. The Phi spiral is the mysterious and miraculous door through which the life force enters this world.

The spiral itself is a symbol of creation, movement, fluidity and evolution. It reveals the cyclical nature of life and the relationship between unity and multiplicity. With no beginning and no end, the spiral curls eternally inward towards the Source of creation, and eternally outward with Source's continual self-creation.

As a path, the spiral is both the journey home to who we really are, and the journey to be one with Source, for they are one and the same.

I AM Books, www.IAMBooksOnline.com, is the fulfillment of a dream to put my spiritual beliefs into practice.

All my life I have nurtured an interest in the mysteries of science, nature, ancient civilizations, states of consciousness and physical, psychological, and spiritual healing. Science eventually answered many of the "how's," but the answers to the "why's" were more elusive.

As a child I was in tune with nature and its rhythms, yet in adolescence I left it behind to enter the adult world of intellect and scholarship. I earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester, NY, and completed half the requirements for a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Georgia State University. As I matured, I began to realize the cost of my separation from the natural world. Eventually I began my journey back to wholeness and health.

For the last 20 years I have enjoyed finding my way back home. I traveled around the US and UK, attending conferences, workshops, seminars, and classes that guided my way. I swam with the dolphins. I focused on personal healing and reconnecting with Nature, knowing this was my way to heal the Earth.

My particular interests are Ancient Wisdom and Ascension, the alpha and omega of our human story. I especially connect with the I AM, Hermetic, Celtic, Egyptian, Greek, and Native American traditions. Although these paths attract me most, I admire and respect all paths to enlightenment, for each will bring you to Ascension, the process of re-membering who you are. This has been my focus for the last ten years.

As part of my service, in 1999 I founded Journal of Healing, an online holistic (body-mind-spirit) webzine dedicated to individual, societal and planetary healing. I continue to be the editor-in-chief and main writer.

In 2001, I began writing for Drunvalo Melchizedek's webzine, Spirit of Ma'at, and in 2002 I became its News Editor. This tapered off in 2004 as I began to devote all my energy to my online bookstore.

My love of writing and reading has naturally expressed itself in my new venture into bookselling. My goal in creating I AM Books and www.IAMBooksOnline.com is to assist you in your journey home to yourself.
